Is this true that what ever we do, as the bible says “Nothing can separate us from the love of the Father (Romans 8:38-39), that God is all-loving, He would never send me to hell, no matter what I do?”
Bible passages:
Romans 8:38-39, Romans 6:2, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, Isaiah 59:1-2, Matthew 13:40-42, Hebrews 12:14, Ephesians 5:15-20, John 14.
Discussion:
God is all-loving, He created human beings in His Own image. In Genesis 1:26, God said let us make make human beings in our image and likeness. And let them rule over the fish…… and over all the crawling animals on the earth.
In addition, God gave human beings all the plants that have grain for seeds and the trees whose fruits have seeds in them ….. Genesis 1:29.
God also showed His love to Adam (His creation) in collaborative work. In Genesis 2:19 God was talking and working with Adam in naming the animals. Also God visited Adam and Eve “in the garden at the time of the evening breeze” (Genesis 3:8).
The bible passages stated above showed that God is loving and He showed His love by:
• creating human beings in His Own image;
• gave man the authority to name animals and rule over them;
• He visited Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
Even when sin brought barrier between human being and God; God sent His only begotten son to die for our sins when blood of animals are no longer sustainable for sin remission.
1John 4:9 states that God has shown His love to us by sending His only Son into the world. God did this so we might have life through Christ.
Likewise in John 3:16 that … God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
There are other passages that showed that God is loving at the same time; God made a clear distinction between Him - His love and sin. He gave us rules to follow, He taught us to love others and made us know that He hate sin. Paul warned us (Christian) in Galatians 5:13 he said my brother and sisters, God called you to be free; but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self…
Galatians 6:19-24 specified the sinful nature and the nature of God. Verse 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their own sinful selves. They have given up their old selfish feelings and evil things they wanted to do.
Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that we are save by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves: it was a gift from God.
In Isaiah 59:1-2 tells us that the Lord’s power is enough to save …… it is evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause Him to turn away from you, so He does not hear you.
Matthew 13:40-42 Jesus Himself stated that there would be separation at the end of the world; those that does not do God’s WILL, will be punished verse 42 the angels will throw them - sinners into the blazing furnace, where the people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.
Jesus instructed the woman that was caught in adultery to “sin no more” John 8:11. God is loving but He made it clear that sinners will go to hell if they don’t repent and live according to His will. So, there is a choice for everyone to make - heaven or hell.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hebrews 12:14….. encourages us to live our life, sin free. Ephesians 5:15-20 shows how to live a Holy life. God hate sin, Matthew 27:46 stated that about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
God could not look at His son when He was carrying our sins on Him. It shows that God detest sin. Sin can separate one from God and also lead to hell fire if there is no change of heart.
The grace of God does not cover us when we sin Romans 8:38-39 refers to Christians working in accordance to God’s law and instruction. The promise is not for everyone.
I pray that the grace of God and His love will never be in vain in our lives. Amen 🙏🏽
Praise God
