If God made us as we are, does it mean that sin is not our fault because we are designed to sin?
Bible passages:
Genesis 1:31, Psalm 82:6, Galatians 5:21, Genesis 3:5, Genesis 6:5, Romans 12:5, Genesis 3:11-14, James 4:6, Romans 1:18-26
Discussion:
God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good….. Genesis 1:31
Sin is not from God. God made us in His image and likeness Genesis 1:26. He gave us free will. Psalm 82:6 the bible say “You are God’s”, You are sons of God Most High”.
God has given us the ability to make decisions and we could decide on what we’re going to do with what God has given us.
Adam and Eve committed sin; which violated the purpose of free will.
Galatians 5:21 tells us about the fruits of the spirit. The way God created us is to have free will and be good. Devil lured Adam and Eve into sin Genesis 3:5. Genesis 6:5-6 The Lord saw that the human beings on the earth were very wicked and that everything they thought about was evil. Vs 6 He was sorry he had made human beings……
Free will meant to make us love God and to move closer to Him. God created everything and everything that God created was good. satan comes in and made Adam and Eve sin. Adam and Eve were warned not to eat out of the fruit from the trees in the garden. It is not God’s fault to sin; if we sin it is because we choose to sin.
At the same time God has also given us the opportunity to have a rebirth; so there is no excuse for sin.
Conclusion:
We were made in the image of God which is perfection. Sin will take us away from the presence of God. Being made in the image of God does not mean that we should sin.
Romans 1:1-18 people does not have excuse for not knowing or loving God. God has shown Himself to people since the beginning of the world.
Praise God🙏🏽
